Winston Churchill
Johnny Vasquez is a retired Marine of 29 years earning the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant (MGySgt). While in the Marine Corps, his primary Military Occupation Skill (MOS) was an infantry Marine (0311,0369 & 0399). His primary billets held as Staff Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) were as follows: infantry platoon sergeant, infantry platoon commander, training chief, company gunnery sergeant (GySgt) Instructor at Marine Corps Tactics Operations Group (MCTOG) and finally as a MGySgt operations chief for a Marine wing unit (MWSS-472), infantry battalion (V11) regimental operations chief at 1st Marine Regiment and Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment (MCSFR, FAST). During his 29 years he went on 11 deployments, four of which were combat tours. He fought in the streets of Fallujah (Battle of Fallujah 2, Phantom Fury) and in the mountains of Afghanistan several times (Helmand Province).
His time in the Marines gave him valuable experience in many aspects from leadership, logistics, managing, manning, operations / training, security, operations tactics instructor, operations centers, close quarter battle (CQB) to name a few. His experience and skills were highly sought out by many commanders while in the Marines.
Since his retirement he has joined the Kinetic team where he is a Program Manager (PM) and continues to strive to succeed for the company and his customers.
